The Home window is where you input and manage information related to your business.
There are five different sets of tools on this window.
On the top, is the set of Alerts.
They communicate system status information.
You may click on the alert to get more information, or to initiate a relevant action.
On the bottom is a list of Reminders. These are analogous to yellow
sticky-notes. They allow you to make a comment, specify a date due
and a date finished. By default, they are visible to your employee account,
but not to other employees in your business. However, it is possible to create a reminder
and share it with every employee.
3. Barcode Search
Just under the tool ribbon is the Barcode Search tool.
If you have a barcode scanner, this is a good starting point for looking up many things.
- Scan an old receipt and the LinkEdge Browser App will bring up the matching Sales Transaction.
- Scan an old refund receipt and you are quickly viewing the appropriate Refund Transaction.
- Scan a barcode on a product in your business, and you have the Product Editor dialog.
- Scan a product that is not currently in your business, but is offered by one of your vendors. What happens next is worthy of its own page.
